  • Alabama Math Science and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) -Grades 3-6 & 10-12
  • Freshman Academy for all 9th grade students, with integrated, enhanced technology
  • Math and Reading Coaches - Grades K-6
  • Strings program at BSLK in collaboration with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra for all interested kindergarten students during school day; also offered to all ages in afterschool enrichment at Albertville Community Learning Center
  • Credit Recovery, Credit Advancement and ACCESS classes offered at AHS
  • Most dual enrollment classes in Marshall County offered at AHS
  • New culinary arts program at AHS
  • Music classes offered at all grade levels
  • Honors social studies and language classes in 6th grade at EES

  • Six classes of beginning art at AMS
  • High school credit available at AMS for Algebra I and Business Tech Applications
  • Award-winning band and choral programs, with opportunities to compete and travel- including the Aggie Band's upcoming trip to march in the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, CA this January
  • Teachers K-12 encouraged to integrate lessons with a focus on technology.  Students use MacBooks, interactive boards, iPod carts, blogs and websites to enhance learning
  • Office of School Readiness (OSR) and Migrant Pre-Kindergarten classes at ACLC, serving 72 four-year-old students
  • 21st CCLC Grant awarded for FY11 - $150,000 each year to enhance after school offerings grades 1-4, including tutoring and enrichment classes
  • Applied for Carol White Physical Education Program (PEP) Grant for FY11 - If funded, system will receive $1.5 million over three years to improve/enhance PE programs grades K-12

Albertville City Schools Announces Request for Proposals for At-Risk Funds

To locate the 2010-2011 RFP for Non-Profit, Non-Governmental organizations, go to the DISTRICT Tab, FINANCE & SUPPORT SERVICES, CURRENT RFPs. In the CURRENT RFPs find the document titled 2010-1011 At-Risk Funds. The document contains 2 application files and instructions. The contents of the application files are the same. Read the instructions in the document. If you intend on returning the completed application via e-mail, use the WORD document. If you intend on printing the document and returning the completed application to the Board of Education, you may use either file. The deadline for returning the completed application is found in the instructions.
