Alabama High School Grad Exam AssistanceStudents who do not pass the graduation exam are placed in a remediation class the year following the spring test. These students receive a credit for the class.
The remediation process has several elements to help the student succeed. The main elements are
“Passing the High School Graduation Exam” A workbook that is used to allow students actual “pen and paper” work samples.
USATestPrep. A web- based computer program with materials are correlated to the AHSGE.
PLATO. This is another web based computer program that is correlated to the AHSGE.
One aspect of Albertville High School’s accountability process is the scores made by the “free and reduced” group during their junior year in Reading and Mathematics. Albertville High School employs tutors to work with the students that are deficient in Reading who fall into this category. Tutors use small group work to provide quick feedback regarding students’ progress. |
