Zero PeriodZero Period is an innovative way to allow students to either make up failed credits from a previous year to get the student back on track to graduate on time or to allow students to take courses so that they do not have to sacrifice electives such as band and choral during their regular school day.
The time is referred to as "Zero" period because it is offered from 6:50 to 7:40 a.m. each day.
ACCESS (online) classes are used to accelerate students who wish to move forward or maintain their academic standing while still being provided a well-rounded education that includes chosen electives such as band or choral.
CREDIT RECOVERY is used during zero period to help students who may have failed during a previous term or for students moving into Albertville High School who may have been on a different schedule (Block Schedule). PLATO is used for Credit Recovery.
The Zero Period offerings have proven to be a great success for students at Albertville High School. |
